Dr. Adam Clarke, M.D.

Dr. Clarke graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Finance and Biology, magna cum laude and honors from the University of Kentucky. He then received his M.D. from the University of Louisville. He completed a medical and surgical internship at Loyola Medicine MacNeal Hospital in the Chicago area, after which he returned to Louisville and for his ophthalmology residency. 

Dr. Clarke has spent the last three years at the University of Louisville, where he has received extensive training in medical and surgical ophthalmology, including cataract surgery, minimally-invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS) and refractive surgeries such as LASIK and PRK. He has given numerous presentations for continuing education credit within the local ophthalmology community and has been involved with resident and medical student education. While at the University of Louisville, Dr. Clarke won the Dr. Melvyn Koby Educational Excellence Award given to the senior resident who demonstrated superior clinical and surgical skills while delivering compassionate patient care. Dr. Clarke is a board-eligible ophthalmologist and licensed to practice medicine and surgery in the state of Missouri.

Dr. Clarke and his fiancée are pleased to make Columbia their new home, with its sense of community and integration of nature within the city. In their free time they enjoy traveling, hiking, biking, skiing and spending time outdoors with their dog. He is very excited to join Dr. McGarity and the team at Restoration Eye Care, with their reputation for using the latest technology to deliver high quality patient-centered care.
